The Map Room provides a web-based platform for creating custom map posters. Users can select locations, customize themes and text, and order physical prints of their designs.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when placing orders
  • Use the service for lawful purposes only
  • Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt our services
  • Not use automated systems to access our service without permission
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of others

4. Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Map Room website, design, graphics, and software are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any custom text or personal information you provide. By using our service, you grant us a license to use this content solely for the purpose of creating and delivering your orders.

Map Data

Map data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the Open Database License (ODbL). The generated map posters may be used for personal and commercial purposes.

5. Orders and Payment

  • Pricing: All prices are displayed in USD and include applicable taxes where required.
  • Payment: We accept major credit cards through our secure payment processor, Stripe.
  • Order Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation when your order is placed and when it ships.
  • Production Time: Custom posters are typically produced within 2-5 business days.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping times vary by destination. Domestic orders typically arrive within 5-10 business days after production. International orders may take 2-4 weeks. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or customs.

7. Returns and Refunds

Due to the custom nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns. However, if your order arrives damaged or contains a printing error, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will provide a replacement or refund.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE MAP ROOM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
